Dear Family, Friends, Biggest Fans, and New Supporters,

2018 is off to a fantastic start! I have reached the final stretch of developing my brand new evening-length solo project, A Bon Coeur! Yay! A trilogy in the making, A Bon Coeur is a progression of /CLOSE/R (my first-ever evening-length solo created in 2012), moving from the self, and expanding towards place and cultural identity. For this new project I mine my childhood memories, which are rooted in the Creole cultures of Lafayette, Louisiana, to explore intersections of self and community.

I’m thrilled to announce that I will present a work-in-progress performance of A Bon Coeur on Friday, May 4, 2018 at the Erma Lowe Studio Theater on the campus of TCU in Ft. Worth, TX.  This will be the first public performance of the project to include the set and props as well as the full scale video technology components.

I am excited to share with you this new phase of my creative work! I am grateful for the wonderful support of TCU’s School of Classical & Contemporary Dance. But in order to successfully produce this event, I must raise a minimum of $6500 by Friday, March 23, 2018. Funds will cover travel and lodging for collaborators, production, staffing, and technical resources essential to produce the show successfully. To achieve this goal, I am reaching out to some of my closest friends and fans as well as potential new supporters. To kick start this effort, I am pleased to share that I have confirmed a matching gift up to $1500 toward this goal.

May I count on your support? …This is an all or nothing campaign, which means that in order to receive your support I must raise the total minimal amount by the closing date. Even larger, it means a great deal to me to continue to keep my creative process transparent and in conversation with the public, while introducing my artistry to new audiences. This presentation will mark my first performance in Ft. Worth, TX. I am thrilled and look forward to offering a glimpse into what I have been working on for the past two years.

I must raise all needed funds by Friday, March 23, 2018 in order to move forward into the next stages of planning with confidence. All contributions are tax-deductible. Additionally, all individual sponsors will be recognized in the performance program.

The launching and development thus far of A Bon Coeur could not have been possible without the generous support of the Dance Exchange, Atlas Performing Arts Center, University of Colorado Boulder, Slippery Rock University, Dawn Stoppiello and Real Ranch Residency, and Alternate Roots. My recent performance of a 25-minutes excerpt on December 3, 2017 in the Terrace Theater at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts showcased a dynamic glimpse into the maturity of the work, and what’s to come. Individual support will truly make all the difference in this final phase as I come closer to the full project preview performances and premiere fall 2018.

Your support is needed more than ever! You’re collaboration will be impactful, and a force behind the continued momentum of the project. This next step in fully realizing A Bon Coeur provides a unique opportunity that is arriving at a particularly significant time in my artistic journey.

Thank you for your time, consideration, enthusiasm, and support.

Always Dreaming & Actively Doing,
